OSN the leading pay-TV network in the Middle East and North Africa recently implemented PixAlert’s Data Auditing technology throughout its extensive network of 850 users which span across eight locations throughout the MENA geo-regions.
As a leading consumer brand with exceptional reputational standing, OSN handle, process and hold extensive stores of confidential corporate, customer and credit card data (CHD) within their environment and need to ensure ongoing integrity and security of sensitive data while also remaining compliant with regulatory requirements like the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
They required an internal audit solution which would enable them to continuously identify and manage corporate critical data including unstructured CHD while alleviating and controlling the risk of data breach, loss and exposure. OSN also wanted to implement safeguards to ensure that no inappropriate image content was being uploaded, stored or circulated onto their network and email system.
OSN used PixAlert’s Data Auditor product and PCI Card Checker and after a trial phase deployed Auditor to review all internal desktops and shares throughout the OSN organisation operating as an on-site review service. PixAlert Data Auditor provides auditing, analysis and reporting of illicit content displayed on corporate systems.
Since installing PixAlert’s Data Auditor and PCI Card Checker products, OSN has successfully managed to demonstrably reduce the volume of sensitive data detected on its multi-site network while reinforcing corporate governance. OSN has found PixAlert’s software easy to integrate and unobtrusive to applications while providing effective security mechanisms with comprehensive reporting structures.
The multi-site functionality of PixAlert’s software operates seamlessly across all of OSNs network with rapid scanning capabilities. PixAlert’s detection technologies enable OSN to centrally and securely manage, control and block sensitive data distribution through any network resource within the organisation.
